Jake Gyllenhaal's 'Prince of Persia' Trailer

Donnie Darko who?
If there's one formula that movie producers think works more than any other, it's that your lead man should be a heartthrob (so all the ladies want to go), and the film should be based on a video game (so all the dudes want to go). That's why in the upcoming movie Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time with Jake Gyllenhaal, the equation is complete.
In the new trailer just released for the Disney film (below), Gyllenhaal and British beauty Gemma Arterton roll and jump through some fancy looking sand, dodging arrows and playing with daggers.
Actually, the dagger is at the heart of the film's premise. Based on a hugely popular video game from 2003, Prince of Persia follows a street rat (Gyllenhaal) in 6th century Persia who teams up with a princess (Arterton) to protect a magical dagger that can control time. Ben Kingsley plays an evil nobleman who wants the power for himself.
In other words, think of the film as a mix between Aladdin and Pirates of the Caribbean. But don't let us make the judgements -- have a look for yourself.
