Funky Fedora Hair Tips for Fall/Winter
More Hair Tips for Cool Blasts
I'm studying more hair tips for hat styles--how about the fedora? Some of us don't live in a super-cold climate, so we can't rock the woolies like the rest of you. The fedora in wool or straw is a smart pick, and I've got some great Philip Pelusi tips again. I love this celeb stylist!
According to Philip, it's important to contrast your fedora's angular lines with soft hair--waves are a great choice, either natural ones or loose ones with a roller or two. Even soft bedhead could be great if your hair is shiny enough to pull it off! Since a fedora has masculine lines, it's the perfect way to make it distinctly more girly.
Kristin Cavallari went no-nonsense with a loose ponytail in back when she wore a fedora, but you can try something else if you have heavier hair or want to create a "curtain" out of your hair for added mystery. To style your hair and complement your fedora, add a curl-enhancing creme to naturally wavy hair and air dry, or use a diffuser if you prefer.
If you have straight hair and you'd like a look like this, simply curl your hair with a large-barreled curling iron, curling away from your face with plenty of heat protectant spray.
If you're in the market for more hair product to get the wavy look down, don't forget that you can clip through your current mags and hunt down hair product coupons--there was a treasure trove in the last issue of Marie Claire!
Do you ever wear fedoras? How do you like to wear your hair with yours?
