Dude, I just conquered Australia.
For all those out there who spent their youths playing Risk in the basement with friends, your fantasies of world domination are finally coming true. Sony Pictures has acquired the rights to the classic Hasbro game and is working on adapting it for the silver screen.

For those unfamiliar with the board game, Risk is a strategy game that requires players to advance their armies across continents, battle it out over different countries and win new territories. It's basically an introduction to miniature imperialism.

The game itself was invented in 1957 by French filmmaker Albert Lamorisse under the title La Conquete Du Monde (The Conquest of the World). Parker Brothers soon bought it, changed the name to Risk, and ever since it's been one of the most popular board games of all time.

So with film-adaptations for other Hasbro toys like Transformers and G.I. Joe going so well, it looks like Sony won't have to take much of a Risk on this new one.
